Storage that passes environmental inspections

Waste streams increasingly need to be demonstrably protected against rain and leaching. Inspections focus on the measures you take to prevent contamination. A shelter helps keep materials dry and allows for controlled storage. In many cases, a shelter is considered a Best Available Technique under the duty of care within the BAL. This helps demonstrate during inspections that storage is properly managed.

Installation on concrete walls and containers

Storage bays at recycling sites are often constructed using concrete walls or container setups. A shelter can be installed on both. This creates a covered storage area above existing bays, allowing you to continue using the current site layout without the need for new foundations or structural modifications.

Clearance height for wheel loaders and trucks

On recycling sites, equipment must be able to move freely. Wheel loaders and trucks continuously move in and out of the storage bays to load and unload materials. That’s why various configurations are available with sufficient clearance height. This ensures that loading, unloading, and internal transport can continue smoothly under the shelter.

Structure that keeps rain out of the storage

When storing waste and recycling streams, it is important to keep rainwater out of the shelter as much as possible. That’s why a shelter can be equipped with top walls and a rain gutter. This allows rainwater to be drained in a controlled way, instead of entering the storage area. It helps keep materials as dry as possible and reduces leaching.
