To ensure that your concrete wall can safely support the added load of a bunker silo shelter, we strongly recommend consulting a structural engineer for a professional calculation. This is particularly important in the following cases:
    – When the wall height exceeds 2.6 meters
    – When the free span is greater than 8 meters
A structural calculation verifies that your concrete wall is strong and stable enough to handle the additional load. If needed, we can connect you with a qualified structural engineer who can perform this assessment for you.
Feel free to contact us for more information.

For each frame and tarpaulin, an assembly manual is available. You can find this manual both in the packaging and online, where you can download it per product.

PVC is stronger than PE and therefore lasts longer. We offer a 3-year warranty for PE and 10 years for PVC. The tensile and tear strength of PVC is almost twice as high. PVC also has flame-retardant properties. In this video, we explain everything in detail: https://www.kroftman.com/en-eu/pe-or-pvc/

The tarps are packaged in boxes, while the frames are delivered in steel and wooden crates. Keep the packaging to store or transport the product later. If you do not reuse it, the packaging can be disposed of.

Yes, our container shelters are designed to withstand high wind and snow loads. Depending on the model, the maximum snow loads range from 0.2 to 0.3 kN/m², and the maximum wind loads range from 0.3 to 0.5 kN/m².
Our shelters comply with the European standard EN13782, which means they are calculated for combined wind and snow loads for extra safety. In the product specifications, you will find the exact maximum values, as specified in the official structural calculations. We recommend placing the shelter only under conditions that fall within these limits. Installation in areas with higher wind or snow loads is at your own risk.

Yes, it is possible to order individual parts if something breaks on your shelter. In most cases, damage to the shelter can be repaired by replacing a part. We offer additional parts in sets for this purpose. You can download the overview of these additional parts per product from our website. Unsure about the right solution? Then, feel free to contact us.

Yes, note: PVC tarpaulin is more fire-resistant than PE tarpaulin. In terms of fire safety, PVC clearly has the advantage. Although it is unlikely that either PE or PVC will catch fire, for example, when using an angle grinder, PE will continue to burn once it is ignited. PVC, on the other hand, is flame-retardant and self-extinguishing, providing extra safety.

Roll the cover out on the ground and fold it so that you can easily unroll it over the frame. Attach the cover to one side on top of the container with a rope. Then, throw the rope over the frame to the other side and pull the cover over it.
For further instructions, please refer to the manual.

The European standard EN13782 sets requirements for the design and construction of temporary structures, such as container shelters. This standard ensures that the shelter is safe and stable, even under changing weather conditions. It includes material specifications, calculations of wind and snow loads, stability checks, and the strength of connections.
Our products are designed and tested according to this standard. This means that you are assured of a safe and reliable shelter that complies with European guidelines.
    More information: https://www.kroftman.com/en-eu/safety-first-what-you-need-to-know-about-en13782-for-your-container-shelter/

Regularly check the tension of the ropes, straps, and wind braces, especially after periods of strong wind or heavy snowfall. Remove snow promptly to prevent overload, as this will contribute to a longer lifespan of your tarp.

How do I maintain the tarpaulin of my container shelter?

Yes, all our standard products come with structural calculations, which are available upon request at no additional cost.
We collaborate with specialized engineers to ensure that all calculations comply with the EN13782 standard. This guarantees broad acceptance across Europe and internationally.
To maintain their legal validity, we provide these documents only in their original German or English versions. If needed, you can use these documents as a reference for a local engineer to create a structural calculation that aligns with your country’s specific requirements.

Yes, the strength calculations of the products can be found in the construction manual. This book contains all the technical details and calculations necessary for the safety and stability of the shelters. You can request the construction manual free of charge, both online and physically.

Ensure that the distance between the walls corresponds to the dimension of the desired shelter. Consult the drawing of the shelter for the exact measurement.

Concrete blocks, also known by brand names such as Legio blocks, mega blocks, stacking blocks, concrete Lego blocks, or stackable concrete blocks, provide an excellent foundation for bunker silo shelters. For mounting on the blocks, it is important that the top surface of the blocks is flat. Please refer to the drawing for dimensions and explanations.

We choose steel for its strength and durability. Steel wears less, is more resistant to the elements, and lasts longer. Additionally, steel is much more cost-effective, saving money without compromising quality. It meets European standards and is also a more sustainable choice, making it the logical option for reliability and efficiency.

The placement of multiple bunker silo shelters affects the allowed distance between the walls and the mounting on the wall. Therefore, the tolerances differ compared to the placement of a single shelter. Check the drawing for explanation and exact dimensions.

Our warehouse in Babberich has a large stock of container shelters, allowing us to process orders quickly. If your order is in stock and payment has been received, we can hand it over to our transport company within two days. This results in a delivery time of approximately one week within the Netherlands, and one to two weeks for deliveries to Germany.

You can extend the shelters by 6 meters without a maximum length. This can be done easily and without adjustments to the product. The connection (overlap of the fabric) is entirely wind- and watertight after tightening the cords.

For orders with a value under €5,000, we require a 100% prepayment. For orders with a higher value, it is possible to pay 50% in advance and the remaining 50% upon delivery. Payment on account is possible if a positive credit rating has been issued. For this, we work with Allianz Trade.

It concerns the distance between the concrete walls – Single setup
    CTA806: 7,8 meter (see drawings)
    CTA812: 7,8 meter (see drawings)
    CTA1012: 9,8 meter (see drawings)
Please check the drawings for tolerances on the measurements especially in case of a setup with multiple shelters side by side.
