In most cases, the answer is yes. We offer several mounting options, making installation possible in almost every situation.

Our shelters are designed around the dimensions of a standard shipping container, also known as an ISO container. Before looking at the available mounting methods, it helps to understand what an ISO container is.

What is an ISO container?

An ISO container is a standard shipping container manufactured according to international ISO standards. These standards ensure that containers have the same dimensions and mounting points worldwide.

This allows containers to be transported, stacked and secured in the same way across the globe. For installing a shelter, this is important because the corner castings and structural dimensions are always in fixed locations.

An ISO container can be recognised by:

• Standardised dimensions

• Corner castings in fixed positions for lifting and fastening

• A structure designed for transport and stacking

For a shelter, the most important aspect is that the container has the correct corner castings and that you know where you want to mount the structure.

Common container sizes

The most common container sizes are:

• 20 ft container (TEU)

• 40 ft container (FEU)

Other variants include:

• High Cube

• Reefer

• Open Top

• Flat Rack

Where are ISO containers used?

ISO containers are commonly found in:

• Logistics and transport

• Temporary or permanent storage

• Construction sites and project locations

• Converted units used as offices or workspaces

If you have a standard 20 ft or 40 ft shipping container, there's a good chance it's an ISO container. That makes installing a shelter much more straightforward.

How do I determine which mounting option I need?

Once you've established that you have an ISO container, the next question is: Where do you want to mount the shelter?

The mounting location determines which fastening method is most suitable. We've compiled all available options in one overview, including the situations they're designed for. Below is a brief introduction to the main mounting methods.

1. Mounting to the corner castings

Would you like to mount the shelter to the container's corner castings?

The most common solutions are:

• Mounting beam

• Twistlock clamp

These systems connect directly to the standard corner castings.

2. Mounting to the container edge

Sometimes the shelter needs to be mounted to the top edge of the container.

For this application we use:

• Fastening brackets

These brackets fit container edges approximately 5–8 cm (2–3 inches) thick.

3. Mounting on top of the container

In some situations, the structure is installed directly on top of the container.

For this solution we use:

• Welding clamps

Not every shelter is attached to containers. Using concrete anchors, our shelters can also be installed partially or entirely on concrete foundations.

Which solution fits your situation?

No two container layouts are the same. Sometimes there are existing site offices or containers nearby. In other cases, access for vehicles must remain unobstructed. Or perhaps the shelter needs to be relocated in the future.
