At the Batavialand museum, part of the national maritime archaeological collection consists of important finds from the shipwrecks of Flevoland, some of which are around 300 years old. Due to the large and bulky nature of these materials, the museum has acquired several sea containers for storage and conservation.
Our 6 x 6 m container shelter, placed on open side containers, makes it possible to work between the containers. This creates a practical workspace in which the finds can be handled with care.
The materials can also be moved in and out of the containers while staying dry. This is more convenient and prevents the objects from getting wet.
