At Kroftman, we sell two different types of self-build storage buildings: the H-series storage buildings and the E-series storage buildings. You may have also noticed that the E-series storage buildings is significantly cheaper than the H-series storage building. In fact, the E-series storage building is even cheaper than a warehouse tent. Why is that? Let us tell you more about it in this blog. 1. The price of the E-500 storage building:

Unlike the H-series storage buildings, which we manufacture ourselves, we purchase the E-series storage buildings in Asia, in large quantities. We pass on the price advantage we gain from this to our customers. Additionally, the E-series storage buildings are our smaller storage buildings, with a maximum length of 24.2 meters and a fixed width of 5.7 meters. This means less material is needed to make these storage buildings, which also helps us keep the price low. You can get an E-series storage buildings starting from €10,500. This makes the E-series storage buildings cheaper than a warehouse tent of similar size.

2. The materials of the E-500 storage building:

The structure of the H-series storage building is made of cold-rolled C-profiles, while the structure of the E-series storage building is made of square tube profiles. The cladding of the E-series storage buildings consists of profiled steel sheets 0.5 mm thick, galvanized and with a polyester top coating in cream white (RAL 9001) color. The interior of the wall panels is light gray (RAL 7035). In contrast to the H-series storage buildings, you install the wall panels horizontally instead of vertically on the storage building frame. 3. Dimensions of the E-500 storage building:

The E-series storage buildings are offered on our website starting from a length of 9.2 meters. The storage building can be extended in length in multiples of three meters, with a maximum of 24.2 meters. The storage buildings are available in only one width size, which is 5.7 meters. The eaves height for all E-series storage buildings is 2.8 meters, and they have a ridge height of 3.4 meters. The roller doors for the E-series storage buildings are smaller than those for the H-series storage buildings. The roller door is 2.65 meters high and 2.75 meters wide, with a clearance height of 2.55 meters.

The advantage of the E-series construction is that you can easily shorten the storage building during assembly. For example, if you have space for a storage building that is 11 meters long, you can order a storage building that is 12.2 meters long and customize it by shortening all horizontal components between the last two trusses. Due to the peg-and-hole connection, you can easily reassemble the components. Then, you cut the sheet material to the correct size. The same applies to lowering the storage building. The E-series storage buildings are suitable for this, but not the H-series storage buildings. You can lower the E-series shed by a maximum of 40 centimeters during assembly. However, you must ensure that there is enough height remaining for the doors.

Dripstop
In our H-series storage buildings, you can opt for an insulated storage building. Additionally, the uninsulated storage buildings of the H-series come equipped with Dripstop® to prevent falling water droplets. Dripstop is a layer of felt applied to the underside of the solid roof panels of our uninsulated H-series storage buildings. The Dripstop felt layer absorbs condensation. As the outside temperature rises, the moisture evaporates again. This prevents condensation from dripping off the roof panels and damaging the stored products or machinery. The E-series storage buildings do not have this Dripstop felt layer.

Options to Customize Your E-500 storage building

Because we purchase the E-series storage buildings in their entirety and do not manufacture them ourselves, you cannot make any modifications to the storage building itself. Only during assembly, you can potentially shorten and/or lower the storage building. The E-series storage building comes standard with a wicket door and a roller door. The only options we offer for the E-series storage buildings are:

• Choice of anchoring type (ground stakes or concrete anchors)
• Option to order an electric motor with two remote controls
• Option to order gutters and downspouts

The exterior of the cladding, as well as the roof of the E-series storage building, always has the color cream white (RAL 9001), and the interior is light gray (RAL 7035). The roller door is signal white (RAL 9003), and the personnel door is gray white (RAL 9002). Below, you can see an image of an E-series storage building.

An E-series storage buildingis suitable for you if you:

• Need quick access to your storage building.
• Require a storage building that complies with the requirement of a maximum eaves height of 3 meters for permit-free construction.
• Need a storage solution that can remain in place for a longer period.
• Need to store items that can withstand condensation and temperature fluctuations.
• Prefer walls and a roof made of metal panels over a tarpaulin (tarps are more susceptible to burglary and fire).
• Need a higher snow load capacity than what a storage tent can provide, without the hassle of keeping the tarpaulin snow-free.
