Zeb Wennekers was born and raised in Den Helder. A few years ago, Zeb had the opportunity to buy a large plot in Den Helder, which included a detached house and several commercial properties. After renovating the house, he was asked if he wanted to build additional storage space on his property for rent. Considering the available space, Zeb found this idea appealing. The Search

Zeb started his search on the internet. "I already knew I was looking for a self-build storage building. I'm handy and can easily build it myself, unlike traditional storage buildings where just the trusses alone are 20 times heavier. I came across Kroftman fairly quickly during my online search. I visited the website and liked that the prices per storage building were listed immediately, and you see images of each storage building. The Choice

After requesting quotes from several suppliers, Zeb ultimately chose Kroftman. "I already had a good feeling about the Kroftman website. After comparing prices with a few other suppliers, the choice was quickly made. I opted for the insulated H717h self-build storage building from Kroftman.

In addition to price, it is important to me that I can build the storage building myself and that the supplier is reliable. Kroftman seemed reliable to me, offers a warranty, and has good customer service. I always found the contact with Kroftman very pleasant. The H717h storage building comes in both an uninsulated and an (more expensive) insulated version. Zeb chose the latter. "I think the price difference is small when you see what you get in return. You buy a storage building with the expectation that it will stand for a long time. Then, I won't skimp on quality. I believe that for a relatively small additional amount, you get a much nicer storage building."

Mistake

The concrete foundation was ready, and the storage building could come. When Zeb hadn't received any news after three months, he decided to call Kroftman himself and ask where his storage building was. "When I asked when the storage building would be delivered, a mistake came to light. Something went wrong in the purchasing department, and the storage building hadn't been ordered. Of course, I wasn't happy about that, and they understood that at Kroftman. They worked very hard to deliver the storage building to me as soon as possible. Ultimately, they succeeded within three weeks. Mistakes happen; it's about how they solve it afterward. And luckily, they did that quickly and well."

Assembly

The storage building was delivered to Den Helder, albeit three weeks late. Zeb carefully read the assembly manual and began to assemble it. "I am technically skilled and have the knowledge, skills, and materials needed to build a storage building. I built the entire storage building almost by myself. I even placed the large panels alone, with the help of a forklift. When I really couldn't do it alone, I asked a friend for help. For example, with placing the roof. The trickiest part was installing the overhead door. I had installed an overhead door once before, so I knew roughly how to do it. During assembly, I encountered some uncertainties in the manual and contacted Kroftman about it. Again, I was assisted well. In principle, you can figure it out. I would advise other customers to assemble the storage building themselves. You can't really go wrong if you follow the manual."
