Cost-Determining Factors for a Storage Building

1. Base Prices of a Storage Building
The base prices of a storage building depend on its size and whether it's insulated. The larger the building, the more expensive it gets. We offer storage buildings from 150 m³ to over 2,000 m³, with prices ranging from about €9,000 to over €110,000. This wide range is because of various size options and whether the building is insulated or not. An insulated building costs more than an uninsulated one. The following table provides a price indication for some of our storage buildings.

• An Extra Door: All our buildings come with a standard pedestrian door, roll-up door, or overhead door. If you want an additional door, this is usually possible. The extra cost ranges from a few hundred euros for a pedestrian door to a few thousand euros for a roll-up or overhead door. As an extra option, you can order an electric motor for the roll-up or overhead door, allowing you to operate it electrically with two remote controls. The cost for this is about €600. Changing the standard door location is also an option for a small additional fee of a few hundred euros.
• Gutters and Downspouts: Our standard buildings do not come with gutters and downspouts. This isn't a problem, as rainwater will naturally flow down the sides. If you'd prefer the rainwater to drain in one specific spot, you can order our matching drainage system as an option. The cost for this varies depending on the size of the building. For smaller buildings, we charge a starting price of €500.
• Skylights: Our buildings come with a few transparent roof panels to allow daylight in. You can choose to order more transparent roof panels for a small additional fee. The cost for each opaque roof panel replaced with a skylight is approximately:
  - €60 for a small, uninsulated building,
  - €80 for a small, insulated building,
  - €150 for a large, uninsulated building,
  - €250 for a large, insulated building.

We offer buildings with transparent roof panels but (for now) without windows. If you want to install one or more windows, this can be done independently. However, consult with us first, as it could affect the structural calculation. It might also void (part of) the applicable warranty on the structure and cladding. If you cut a window frame in the sidewall, the rust warranty on that panel may be voided, but likely not on the structure. The exact implications depend on the modifications you plan to make.

• Colors of Your Storage Building: The standard colors available allow you to personalize your building. There are no additional costs for standard colors. If you want a specific color not listed on our website, contact us to discuss what's possible. A non-standard color may incur additional costs.
• Other Options: We're transparent about this—there aren't any additional options. We're specialized in providing standard storage buildings with the above-mentioned options, allowing us to deliver quickly and at a reasonable price-quality ratio.

• The Foundation: Our buildings can be installed without a foundation. This distinctive advantage allows for significant savings on project costs. Storage buildings can be placed on any type of flat, hard surface, even on compacted sand, gravel, or crushed stone. The building is anchored with 120 cm long ground pins, which you can order from us for an additional cost starting from about €1,000 for a complete set. If ground pins are used, the building might not be entirely watertight. This is why we recommend a foundation if you're choosing an insulated building. When building on a foundation, we provide profiles that fit perfectly around it, ensuring no water can enter. Foundation prices depend on the size of the building. Since we don't install foundations, you should request a quote from a construction company of your choice.
• DIY Installation or Outsourcing: Kroftman buildings are ideal for DIY installation. However, you need some construction experience, should be able to read technical drawings, and have the necessary equipment. By building the structure yourself, you save thousands of euros in assembly costs. You receive a complete building kit with all the necessary materials and comprehensive documentation (assembly manual, construction drawings, and part lists). With standard tools, rolling scaffolding, and a team of about four people, you can quickly create the additional storage space you envision. If DIY isn't for you, you can hire a company to build the structure for you.

4. Shipping Costs for a Storage Building
Shipping is the fourth factor that determines the total cost of your storage building. Shipping a building is more complex than sending a parcel. Even though our storage buildings are delivered as kits, they're heavy and bulky. Shipping insulated storage buildings is more expensive than uninsulated ones, as insulated panels are 4 cm thick, while uninsulated ones are just 4 mm. Because of the increased volume, we can't combine shipping with other products, leading to higher costs for dedicated transport. Shipping costs also depend on the distance the building has to travel and current fuel prices. Below is a cost indication.
