No concrete foundation required
It is not necessary to lay an expensive concrete foundation for the Kroftman storage building. The storage buildings can be placed on any type of hard surface. This includes for example, prefab concrete slab elements, asphalt, pavement and even compacted sand, gravel or rubble fraction. The light-weight steel construction with continuous base rail makes this possible. Depending on the surface, the storage building can be anchored with concrete anchors or earth anchors measuring 110 cm in length.

Save money by self-assembly
Kroftman storage buildings are ideally suitable for do-it-yourself assembly. No experience is needed. By assembling the storage building yourself, you can save a lot of money in assembly costs. You receive a complete building package with all the necessary materials and comprehensive documentation (assembly manual, construction drawings and parts lists). With an assembly team of approximately 4 people, standard equipment and mobile scaffolds you can assemble the extra commercial space in no time.

Kroftman supplies storage buildings of various sizes with an outstanding price-quality ratio. The complete DIY assembly package includes a roll-up door, a man door, skylights, concrete anchors and all the necessary installation materials. Easy assembly that does not require the use of a crane. The Kroftman steel storage buildings can be used for all kinds commercial purposes: as warehouse, for the storage of machines, parking vehicles and as an additional work space. Because Kroftman supplies standard models which do not require an expensive concrete foundation, you create much space for a low price. And thanks to the many available options you can completely compose your storage building to meet your needs.
The construction of our steel storage buildings is made of light-weight steel tubes or cold-rolled steel c profiles. Still, every storage building can hold up to 130 kg of snow per m² and withstand a wind force of at least 8. The total weight of the storage building is much less than most traditional steel storage buildings. That is why a much lighter foundation will suffice and a crane is not required for assembly. An added advantage of having a steel construction is that it is much more sustainable than a traditional construction; steel has a long economic lifespan and is 100% recyclable. When compared to aluminum, steel is a much more affordable resource. This means we can offer highly competitive prices.
Own product development
Both the product and the production process have been developed in-house by our own engineers. The benefit of this is that the storage buildings are constantly being refined on the basis of the experience acquired from thousands of other projects. With great pride, we dare to say that we offer the lightest, most affordable storage building on the market. By paying just as much attention to an efficient and automated production process, we are able to supply a storage building of any size within an average of 3 weeks. Kroftman collaborates closely with German engineering firms for its product development. This enables us to guarantee that all our products not only meet all of the applicable general Eurocodes, but also many of the much more stringent standards in Germany.
Dripstop® technology for a condensation-free roof
Most Kroftman non-insulated storage buildings feature a Dripstop® covered roof; a special felt layer that prevents condensation from dripping down from the roof. This ensures that valuable goods and materials stay dry, even in the event of condensation.
Moisture appears at night when the temperature drops while the indoor temperature is still relatively high. The steel roof of this storage building is covered with Dripstop® as standard. This special felt layer absorbs the moisture and releases it again when the temperature outside rises, after which the damp evaporates. This prevents condensation from leaking from the roof plating and damaging the stored products and machines.
Free structural calculations and construction drawings
Every Kroftman storage building has general structural calculations that comply with the EUROCODES. These calculations have been compiled by a renowned independent German engineering firm. Upon request, we provide the structural calculations free of charge and without any obligation whatsoever. The detailed construction drawings of the products and the options (such as roll-up door in the side-wall) can be downloaded free of charge.
