The CTA806 is a bunker silo shelter with an arched roof. This is a medium to large shelter suitable for anchoring on concrete walls. The CTA806 has a surface area of 48 m2 and is easy to assemble and disassemble. The building kit includes construction drawings and assembly manual. We offer a 10-year descending guarantee against rust perforation on the steel and a 3-year descending guarantee on the PVC cover.

Note

The standard structural calculations apply to installation on a maximum of 2.9 meters high concrete wall. Installation on other surfaces (materials) is at your own risk. Keep in mind that the warranty on the bunker silo shelter will lapse.

Do you have structural calculations available?

Yes, all our standard products come with structural calculations, which are available upon request at no additional cost.
We collaborate with specialized engineers to ensure that all calculations comply with the EN13782 standard. This guarantees broad acceptance across Europe and internationally.
To maintain their legal validity, we provide these documents only in their original German or English versions. If needed, you can use these documents as a reference for a local engineer to create a structural calculation that aligns with your country’s specific requirements.

How do I attach a bunker silo shelter to my concrete wall?

You attach the base rail of the bunker silo shelter to the concrete wall using concrete anchors. This attachment option can be added to the bunker silo shelter under fastening options.

Do bunker silo shelters fit on all types of concrete walls?

Concrete blocks, also known by brand names such as Legio blocks, mega blocks, stacking blocks, concrete Lego blocks, or stackable concrete blocks, provide an excellent foundation for bunker silo shelters. For mounting on the blocks, it is important that the top surface of the blocks is flat. Please refer to the drawing for dimensions and explanations.

What should I consider when placing multiple bunker silo shelters?

The placement of multiple bunker silo shelters affects the allowed distance between the walls and the mounting on the wall. Therefore, the tolerances differ compared to the placement of a single shelter. Check the drawing for explanation and exact dimensions.

Can bunker silo shelters be placed behind each other?

You can extend the shelters by 6 meters without a maximum length. This can be done easily and without adjustments to the product. The connection (overlap of the fabric) is entirely wind- and watertight after tightening the cords.

What distance between the concrete walls must be maintained?

It concerns the distance between the concrete walls – Single setup
CTA806: 7,8 meter (see drawings)
CTA812: 7,8 meter (see drawings)
CTA1012: 9,8 meter (see drawings)
Please check the drawings for tolerances on the measurements especially in case of a setup with multiple shelters side by side.

What is the difference between PE and a PVC cover?

The PVC cover is stronger than PE (i.e. polyester or HDPE) and is therefore more resistant to weather effects. PVC has a longer lifespan. We have a 10-year descending warranty on PVC. Can I print my company logo on the bunker silo shelter?

Do you want to create more visibility for your company? Then printing your cover is an excellent option. All bunker silo shelters can be ordered with a printed cover. You have the choice of white PVC as the base material. Upon your request, you will receive a 3D impression of your design. After confirmation of your order, we deliver within 4 weeks.You can easily request a quote through our website or contact us directly for more information.

Is the cover available in different colours?

The PVC cover for the bunker silo shelter is available in white, grey and dark green.

What is the delivery time of my order?

We supply all our standard products, such as bunker silo shelters, directly from stock. Therefore, you can receive your order within 1 to 4 weeks. The lead time may vary depending on the country and the date of order confirmation.

Is the product strong enough with high wind and / or snow loads?

In the product specifications you will find the maximum wind and snow load as described in the official structural calculations. We recommend that you only place the product in wind and snow conditions that do not exceed these values. If you nevertheless choose to install the product in a region with higher maximum wind and snow loads, please bear in mind that this is at your own risk.

Do I need a building permit?

Whether a building permit is required depends on the product and local regulations. In most cases, a permit is not necessary for temporary installations. However, for semi-permanent placements, we recommend consulting your local municipality for specific requirements.
To support your permit application, you can download the construction drawings from our website. Additionally, upon request, we can provide structural calculations free of charge and without obligation.

Is the cover fireproof?

When do you need a structural calculation for your concrete wall?

To ensure that your concrete wall can safely support the added load of a bunker silo shelter, we strongly recommend consulting a structural engineer for a professional calculation. This is particularly important in the following cases:
– When the wall height exceeds 2.6 meters
– When the free span is greater than 8 meters

Do you have back/front walls?

For our bunker silo shelters, we don’t provide a full gable wall, but we do offer a PVC gable cover available in white, grey, or dark green. The frame of this cover can be mounted on the concrete wall, creating a closed back for your shelter.
