During the UEFA EURO 2024 football championship in Germany, which took place from June 14 to July 14, 2024, Hamburg was one of the host cities. The Heiligengeistfeld was transformed into a Fan Zone where tens of thousands of football fans gathered daily. Hamburg Tourismus GmbH relied on the experience of the Bergmann Group, a specialist in large-scale events, for the organization of this zone.

Comfort and protection for tens of thousands of visitors

With a capacity of up to 50,000 visitors per day, the Fan Zone had to provide a comfortable and safe place for fans to relax, regardless of the weather. This required a flexible and reliable infrastructure that offered protection against rain, wind, and sun while maintaining a pleasant atmosphere.

A covered bar as a central meeting point

To meet the demand for a comfortable meeting place, a covered bar was chosen, constructed from a configuration of three open-side containers with an arched roof (model CTA812). This design offered ample space and protection and was perfectly suited for an event of this scale.Specifications of the solution:

  • Width: 8 meters
  • Length: 12 meters
  • Height: 5.5 meters

The covered bar became a popular meeting point where fans could enjoy a drink and experience the event under ideal conditions.

Safety and quality at large events

Safety was of utmost importance, which is why a solution that complies with the EN 13782 standard was chosen. This European standard for temporary structures ensures the structural safety of event venues and meets the requirements for event permits and safety factors.

The result: a successfully and safely organized Fan Zone

With the support of the Bergmann Group, the Fan Zone in Hamburg became a safe, well-functioning, and popular location. The covered bar enhanced the comfort and experience of visitors, providing a place where people could come together for socializing and drinks. This made the event even more unforgettable.
